This course helps organizations and professionals create a recruitment plan. Such a plan would allow them to achieve their goals, particularly in light of advances in technology, and build expertise by being able to assess their organization’s needs before and during the plan's establishment.

Welcome to Recruitment Guidelines which guides you on how to create an effective recruitment plan to help you identify your needs, understand the specific skills, qualifications and experience required for each role, and allocate a budget.

You will also be helped to identify key responsibilities, qualifications and any unique aspects of the role or company culture.
The course will advise you on how to choose recruitment channels to post vacancies, how to plan a structured interview process with specific stages and involve relevant stakeholders in the interview process.

To ensure your plan remains current, the course demonstrates how organizations can regularly review and update their recruitment plan to adapt to changes in the labor market and evolving regulatory needs.

This training course also aims to help news organizations align with the Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI) standards.
By the end of this course you will:

  • Be able to identify key competencies and skills needed to effectively recruit and select qualified candidates for a particular organization
  • Choose a clear recruitment methodology to follow all the recruitment steps disciplines they need
  • Carry out employment assessments in different stages of your organization's structure.
Walid Al-Majiri is an investigative journalist and trainer in visual narrative techniques and investigative journalism. He is interested in issues related to immigration in Tunisia and the Arab world. He participated in establishing media and journalistic institutions after the revolution and has authored an academic booklet entitled “Citizen Journalist’s Guide”.
